Technical SEO audit services for website optimisation
The firm-grade technical audit, with fixes ranked for your developers.
When you are choosing between firms for a technical SEO audit, the difference is not the crawl, which anyone can run, but the interpretation. Our technical SEO audit services pair a forensic crawl with senior eyes that know which of the issues a tool flags actually move rankings. You get the optimisation work ranked and written for your developers, so the audit ends in shipped fixes rather than a backlog nobody opens.

Crawl, render & index
Performance & structure
Implementation-ready, not a 200-issue dump
The reason most technical audits stall is that they read like a tool export. Ours are built for website optimisation: each finding carries an impact rating, an effort estimate and a plain-English explanation of the fix, grouped by template so a developer can ship a change once and clear it across thousands of URLs. Where it helps, we add log-file analysis to show how bots actually crawl your site and where budget is wasted.
Best for sites where the technical foundations are the bottleneck
These services are the right call after a migration or redesign, when rankings have dropped without an obvious cause, or when a large or JavaScript-heavy site has outgrown the last person who understood its structure. If you are comparing the best firms for technical and on-page SEO audits, the test is simple: ask to see how the findings are prioritised, not how many issues they can list.
Technical SEO audit price: what changes it
Our technical SEO audit services start from £595 for a focused audit. From there, the price moves with a handful of things we can usually pin down before we start: how many URLs and page templates the site has, whether key content depends on JavaScript to render, whether there are multiple languages or markets to check, whether log-file analysis is included, and whether the audit follows a migration or redesign that needs a before-and-after comparison.
Every audit is quoted as a fixed fee once we have scoped the site, so the technical SEO audit price you are quoted is the price you pay. When comparing quotes from different firms, check what each one includes against that list, not how many pages the report runs to. Our SEO audit cost guide explains the wider price bands across technical, content and full audits.
How our technical SEO audit works, step by step
We begin by scoping the site with you: roughly how many URLs and page templates it has, which platform or framework it runs on, whether key content relies on JavaScript, and whether anything has changed recently, such as a migration, a redesign or a new CMS. That shapes where the audit spends its time and fixes the fee before any work starts.
Next, we crawl the site twice, once reading the raw HTML and once rendering the JavaScript as Google does, and compare the two. Content, links or canonical tags that only appear after rendering are a common reason good pages are slow to be indexed, or not indexed at all.
Then we set the crawl against what Google actually reports. With read-only access to Search Console we compare the pages we found with the pages Google has indexed, excluded or never discovered, check that your XML sitemaps list the URLs you want ranked, and review Core Web Vitals from real-user field data rather than a single lab test. Where you can share server logs, we add log-file analysis to show which sections bots spend their time on.
Finally, we group every issue by the template that causes it, rank each fix by impact and effort, and write it up for your developers. A finding is only finished when it says what is wrong, on which URLs, why it matters and what the fix looks like.
What you receive at the end of a technical SEO audit
An executive summary that explains the state of the site in plain English, the prioritised findings with example URLs for each, and a developer appendix organised by template so each fix can be shipped once and cleared across every page built on it. We then walk your team through the findings on a live readout call, so your developers can ask questions before they start rather than after.
Where this sits alongside our methodology page
This page is for buyers choosing a provider. If you want the full technical methodology, exactly what we examine across crawl, rendering, structured data, Core Web Vitals and log files, see our detailed technical SEO audit page. For sites where content and authority are also in play, the broader SEO audit services page combines all three.
We don’t sell the SEO work we recommend, so the findings are genuinely unbiased.
Every issue ranked by impact and effort, so you get the three things to do first, not 200.
Specialists run your audit by hand, with 100+ years of combined experience.
What are technical SEO audit services?
They are a professional review of the technical factors that decide whether search engines can crawl, render, index and trust your site: crawlability, indexation, rendering, structured data and page experience, delivered as a ranked, developer-ready fix list rather than a tool report.
Do you offer technical SEO audits with implementation?
The audit itself is independent and does not sell you the build, but we write every fix so your in-house developers can implement it directly, and we can introduce a trusted implementation partner where you want hands on the keyboard.
Can you audit a large or JavaScript-heavy site?
Yes. Rendering, crawl budget and architecture on large and JS-driven sites are exactly where these audits earn their keep: see our SaaS and enterprise SEO audit pages for those scenarios.
How much do technical SEO audit services cost?
From £595 for a focused technical audit, scoped up for larger or more complex sites. Our SEO audit cost page explains what changes the price.
How long does a technical SEO audit take?
Most single technical audits are delivered within 7 days. Very large or JavaScript-heavy sites, and audits that include log-file analysis, can take longer, and we agree a firm delivery date before we start.
What access do you need for a technical SEO audit?
A publicly crawlable site is enough to start. Read-only access to Google Search Console and your analytics lets us compare our crawl with what Google actually indexes, and server log files, where you can share them, show how search engine bots really crawl the site. If the site sits behind a login or is still on staging, we will agree how to reach it during scoping.
